There’s a market on somewhere in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland region on any given weekend, selling fresh locally grown and made produce, plants and crafts. Here is a selection of our favourite weekend markets, farmers markets, country and community markets in the area. Information last updated: 28 November 2018.
Maleny Arts Crafts and Collectables, Sunday 8am to 2pm, RSL Hall opposite the pub, Bunya St, Maleny. Small but cute market, and undercover! Great for arts and crafts, antiques and collectables, books, jewellery, candles, soap, jams and pickles, hot food, massage, and fresh foods.
Eumundi Markets, Wednesday 8am to 1.30pm, and Saturday 7am to 2pm, 80 Memorial Dr, Eumundi. Great for original artworks and homewares, sculptures, furniture, handmade toys, skincare, fashion and jewellery. Fresh fruit and vegetables, breads, cheeses and yogurts. 65 kms from Artisan Spa Views, lovely rural scenic drive via Conondale and Kenilworth.
Yandina Plants and Produce Market, Saturday, 6am to midday, Yandina Sports Grounds, Wonga Park. Great for cheap plants and fresh and organic fruit and veg! Plus local produce, second-hand items and deli produce. 47 kms from Artisan Spa Views, great drive along the range taking in Maleny, Montville, Mapleton and Nambour.
First Saturday every month (except January), Crystal Waters Country Market, 8am to 1pm, 65 Kilcoy Lane Conondale. Great for its friendly and relaxed community atmosphere, live music from local artists and idyllic rural setting. Fresh organic veggies, sourdough bread direct from the wood-fired oven, cakes, dips, plants, seedlings, honey, clothing, massage, bric a brac, delicious snacks, chai and great coffee. 18km from Artisan Spa Views, scenic drive heading north-west along Maleny Kenilworth Rd. This road is a much better option than the Postmans Track (narrow and steep) which your GPS system may suggest.
Second Saturday every month, Montville Local Produce Market, 7am-noon at the Village Hall, Main St, Montville, great for locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers and plants, homemade produce, fresh breads and cakes, organic foods and fair trade coffee, and natural juices and gardening products.
Third Saturday every month, Witta Market, 7.30 to 12 midday, in the grounds of the Old Witta School, 316 Witta Rd, Witta. This small friendly market showcases small producers on the Blackall Range. Great for seasonal fruit and vegetables and locally made value added products, local organic pork, beef and chicken, vegie and herb seedlings, organic dry goods, mulch hay, Obi Obi valley olive oils, honey, locally made pies, macadamia oil body products and soaps and much more. Great breakfast and coffee. Our local market! Only 2.6km from Artisan Spa Views.
