Enjoy the very best of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland
Artisan Spa Views is located close to Maleny, in the delightful Sunshine Coast hinterland, just 99km drive north from Brisbane. Our accommodation is situated on the edge of a ridge in the Blackall Range and is renowned for its scenic views over the Conondale and Mary Valley mountains. The air is cool and fresh and the views are panoramic.
The picture-postcard dairy country, national parks of remnant rainforest, and the iconic Glass House Mountains to the south, help to make this a location that attracts visitors from all over the world.
Our unique, romantic setting appeals to couples who want to relax and appreciate the privacy and luxury, while absorbing the fantastic scenery and experiencing the wonders the area has to offer.
The local area
The region holds great spiritual and historical significance to local Aboriginal clans whose ancestors were the original inhabitants. In 2012, the Jinibara People were recognised by the Federal Court as the ‘traditional owners’ of an area including the Blackall, D’Aguilar and Conondale Ranges.
European settlement in the 1840s saw the timber industry arrive, with dairy farming following on from forest clearing for development. More recently the timber industry in the local area is focused on the sustainable use of our beautiful native timbers through the work of local and regional wood artisans.
Sculptors, painters, craftspeople, potters and musicians populated the region in the 1980s, leading to the establishment of the many art galleries, boutiques, cafes and restaurants, art and craft fairs, markets and creative festivals that make a visit here so enjoyable at any time of the year.
In fact, Artisan Spa Views is a wonderful testament to the skills of one local artisan in particular, the original owner Randy De Graw, who created the beautiful hand-crafted timber and gemstone inlaid furnishings that characterise the accommodation.
